‘Plottings and mappings from a Shropshire garden’

“A freelance artist /illustrator based in Shropshire, I specialise in making informative pictorial maps both as commission and as self-initiated projects. I spend time researching archived material and old maps to preserve knowledge of the area and aim to create a sense of place including local folklore and references to fictional characters. I am delighted when all the little details I have included are discovered!   My other work portrays a rural narrative, often with an underlying macabre and humorous plot.

Following a degree in fine art and some years painting, I now work mainly in illustration but also in ink, watercolour and digitally added colour, using paper engineering, to create artists’ books.

If you are travelling to view this exhibition please phone the Town Hall to confirm opening times as we sometimes have to close for a wedding.
